We are so thrilled to have been honored yesterday with a CoolCalifornia Small Business Award for our ongoing earth stewardship. The CoolCalifornia Small Business Awards Program recognizes California businesses that have made notable, voluntary achievements in reducing their climate impact.
Thanks to our green efforts and three-part Drought Watch Water Restoration and Carbon Offset Program, spearheaded by Sina Scerba (Production Manager), with Laura Lyons (Owner/Partner) and Aaron Zimmer (Executive Chef), we are one of 19 California businesses that were presented with an award at the 6th Annual Ceremony in Sacramento. Sina was there to represent Global Gourmet and the award is now being proudly displayed in our office.
The fight against climate change is very important to us, and in the words of the great Dr. Seuss, “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” Let’s all care a whole awful lot and make a difference!
