We are so excited to announce that we have partnered with Copia, an organization that connects businesses with excess food to people in need. Like all catering companies, we calculate anticipated food quantities as closely as possible for all events, but having food left over is sometimes inevitable especially with large events. In an effort to limit food waste, partnering with an organization like Copia is very important.

So far in 2016, we donated 2035 pounds of food to Delancey Street Foundation, City Team Ministries, Saint Vincent De Paul Society, and more, resulting in 1695 meals provided to communities in need. A large amount of the food we donated helped with a huge food recovery and distribution over Super Bowl weekend. As the first Bay Area Green Business certified full-service catering company in Northern California, donating food is something we really believe in.

Not only were we able to help people in need, but our donations diverted 10,175 pounds of CO2 from the atmosphere. Our Drought Watch Water Restoration and Carbon Offset Program and various volunteer projects we partake in around the city are very important to us, so an organization like Copia that fights against hunger and climate change is a cause very dear to our hearts.
