Carey Beth and Durwin were wed in late July at The Bently Reserve and we were honored to provide the food and beverage-related merriment for their big day.

We worked with some of our favorite vendors to bring the couple’s vision together for their wedding. Standard Party Rentals provided the beautiful table settings and Got Light transformed the room with their expert lighting setup. Downey Street Events flawlessly coordinated all of the details to ensure the day went by seamlessly. The couple didn’t shy away from color, which resulted in a rich palette of purple, white and gold paired with a spectrum of lush pink florals by Soulflower Design.

The menu our chefs crafted for their ever-so-slightly-Southern-inspired affair featured a mix of American classics and a few dishes with a more global influence.

As the tray-passed hors d’oeuvres made their way around the room, the guests were presented creative bites like our Tiny Thai Tombo Tuna Tacos and a Watermelon, Burrata and Basil Caprese that tied guests over until they were seated for dinner.

The seated meal started with a summery Baby Arugula and Apricot Salad with Pomegranate Vinaigrette. During the entree course, a Grilled Boneless Rib Eye with a Red Potato, Mushroom and Truffled Goat Cheese Strudel overtook the room. Other options included Seared Sea Bass with Sugar Snap Peas or a Freeform Mushroom Raviolo dish.

After dinner, guests gathered for the cutting of the cake. Our Pastry Chef, Steven Cheung, created a three-tiered Red Velvet confection with subtle ruffles of Cream Cheese Frosting. Fresh floral accents and a custom topper personalized the traditional southern treat.

Carey Beth and Durwin indulged their guests beyond a slice of cake by also offering a decadent dessert bar. Petite Lemon Meringue and S’Mores Tarts were accompanied by bite-sized Peanut Butter Coupes topped with edible gold dust. There’s something for everyone among these increasingly popular dessert spreads!

We brought the Late Night Bites out once the sugar rush subsided and some time had passed on the dance floor. These end-of-the-evening munchies were a thoughtfully fun touch; Carey Beth and Durwin opted for slider-sized sandwiches inspired by fast food standbys. A Fried Chicken and Coleslaw Sandwich a la Chick-fil-A and an “Animal Style” Slider complete with Schmalz Onions and Secret Sauce were served as savory send-offs in miniature burger boxes.

It was an absolute pleasure working with this couple to create their special day. We loved their sense of hospitality and seeing their guests walk away full and smiling. Cheers to Carey Beth and Durwin, we wish them many years of happiness!
