What better way to spend a sunny evening in October than on the pier with good friends, salty air, ocean views, hot pizza and cold craft beers?
Actually, don’t answer that question, it’s rhetorical; our expert events team and guests agreed it was a perfect evening. The event in question? A private launch party the Global Gourmet Catering team hosted Wednesday night at Pier 27 to introduce our latest offering: mobile, wood-fired pizza ovens we can bring on-site to turn any event into a high-profile pizza party.
Global Gourmet now proudly owns bright red, custom-crafted, stone hearth, wood-burning ovens on wheels that run hot enough to cook a Neapolitan-style pizza in about two minutes. We’ve also perfected some incredible recipes, including scratch dough made from the finest Italian flour and hand-crushed tomato sauces.
While the pizza was the main attraction, it was a solid party beyond the pies. DJ Von Woo spun an entertaining mix of electro and classics and San Francisco Brewing Co. brought some of their finest. We set cornhole and ladderball up on the oceanfront deck and both were played until we shut down.
