Wouldn’t you love to be able to visit and sample the unique cuisines of the most popular neighborhoods in San Francisco all in one night? That’s exactly what guests were able to do at the event we recently catered for VMware at The Village. The theme was ‘Streets of San Francisco’ and our Director of Special Projects/Senior Producer, Sina Scerba, did an amazing job of bringing San Francisco city life into the venue.

Upon entering, guests were greeted to a large-scale model of the Golden Gate Bridge standing proudly in the middle of the room. From there, our servers welcomed everyone to the North Beach Trattoria where they doled out Italian-inspired Baked Ziti and Eggplant Parmesan served in individual porcelain ramekins. Against a bright and colorful backdrop of a San Francisco cityscape, a selection of Artisan Flatbread Pizzas were on display.

Taking a couple of steps futher, guests were suddenly transported to exotic Asian Street Fare. Standing brightly in front of an Asian temple entrance were to-go containers of Mini Crispy Chicken Potstickers and Asian Salad.

The downstairs level was transformed into a meditation oasis with a giant, gold Buddha statue surrounded by greenery and orchids overlooking the Japantown Sushi Hand Rolls station, where a wide variety of sushi rolls were prepared to order.

For the South American tastes of the Mission, our Mission Street Taqueria had just what the doctor ordered with tacos like Beef Barbacoa and Soyrizo and Potato.

Global’s ‘Only in San Francisco’ Mixology Bar featured three signature cocktails, one being the Cable Car with the flavors of Rum, Triple Sec and a hint of lemon and cinnamon.

As soon as everyone had their fill of savory, we wasted no time bringing out the sweet. Bite-sized Lemon Tartlets with Toasted Meringue and Maldon Salt-Dusted Caramel and Chocolate Tartlets, among other tasty treats, were passed around by our diligent servers.

We encouraged everyone to leave their hearts in our little San Francisco, but no one was allowed to leave with an empty stomach.
