We’re proud to say that Global Gourmet Catering has received the Green Business Award for the second time by the City and County of San Francisco.
The San Francisco Green Business Awards recognize local businesses that complete a certification (or re-certification) process with the San Francisco Green Business Program. This is the second time our catering company has been honored with this award. The program requires businesses to re-certify every three years and the process can take up to a year. Global Gourmet was re-certified in July of 2013, with our first certification awarded in February 2009.
SFGB Mission Statement: Our mission is to help San Francisco businesses adopt environmental practices that are sustainable as well as profitable. We achieve our mission by setting stringent criteria, providing technical assistance, and publicly recognizing and promoting Green Businesses with a seal that enables customers to shop in keeping with their values.
Representing Global Gourmet at this year’s awards presentation were Sina Scerba, Senior Production Manager/Green Event Specialist and Heather Phillippe, Senior Sales Manager.
This year there were 56 business being recognized. In 2009, there were 12, so it’s great to see the Bay Area program continue to grow. Global Gourmet Catering is proud to be the first Bay Area Green Business certified full-service catering company in Northern California.
