After the Great Quake of 1906, he vowed to build a “house of marble on a hill of granite”, and the result was a premier example of residential architecture in the United States. Designed in the Beaux Arts tradition by famed architects Bliss and Favile, the mansion is renowned for its opulent interiors, exquisite architectural detail, and some of the city’s best views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Bay Area.

With a total of 11,000 square feet of opulent venue space available for wedding ceremonies and catered receptions, the Flood Mansion offers a variety of different rooms and chambers that include a spacious Grand Hall with marble floors and staircase; a bow-windowed Belvedere with panoramic Bay Area views; a palatial Reception Room with hand-painted murals and high, coffered ceilings; the Adam and Duchesne Rooms with hand-carved wooden paneling and marble mantelpieces and the Italian courtyard garden that’s popular for outdoor wedding ceremonies.

Due to its exclusive Pacific Heights neighborhood location, on Friday and Saturday nights, music and liquor service conclude no later than 10:30 p.m. The building must be completely vacated by the catering staff and all wedding vendors by 12:00 a.m. On Sunday through Thursday nights, music will conclude no later than 9:30 p.m., and catering staff and all other vendors vacating the building by 11:00 p.m. The building will be opened for set-up by prearrangement.

Global Gourmet Catering is proud to be a preferred wedding caterer for the James Leary Flood Mansion!
