How do you make a room full of hungry and thirsty people happy? Serve a specially designed menu to pair perfectly with different beers, of course! We were lucky to cater the Awards Night for Saba Software, a company that specializes in delivering a cloud-based Intelligent Talent Management Solution used by leading organizations worldwide. The event was hosted at Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company in San Carlos where Saba employees enjoyed a night of casino games, award recognition and beer and food pairings.

Our chefs created the unique menu to pair with different types of Devils Canyon brews. As the 150 guests started the night with some good old fashioned gambling and casino games, our hard working servers made sure everyone got to sample an array of hors d’oeuvres like Inside-Out “BLTs” and Tiny Thai Tombo Tuna Tacos.

Once the guests settled into the dining room, they were greeted with our Salad of Roasted Gold Beets, Burrata and Arugula that was paired perfectly with Devil’s Canyon’s delicious Session IPA. Each brought out the flavors in the other and were a big hit with the guests. For the main course, we served our Braised Short Rib that was created to pair with the Full Boar Scotch Ale and Freeform Mushroom Raviolo that paired beautifully with the Deadicated Amber Ale.

We partnered with Devil’s Canyon once again for the dessert, which consisted of our Brown Butter Cake with Honey Roasted Peaches and a Root Beer Float featuring Devil’s Canyon’s decadent housemade root beer.

The Saba Software employees were a delight to serve and Devil’s Canyon was a fun venue to spend the evening in. We highly recommend you check them out for a cold brew the next time you need a relaxing night out. They are open to the public on Fridays from 4pm to 9pm for their Beer Garden with Off the Grid. Tell them Global Gourmet sent you!
