Fact: bridesmaids rocking stripey Kate Spades add an instant “cool factor” to any wedding. A sort of preppy-meets-modern statement that feels easy and polished all at once. And when those ‘maids happen to be amongst a day crafted by Shannon Leahy Events, Michael Daigian Design and Got Light Lighting, they’re in sweet company. Because when these vendors join forces, pretty things are bound to follow. Josh Gruetzmacher captured every last detail of this gorgeous day, and it’s all waiting for you here.

From Shannon Leahy Events… Kristin and Andre’s wedding was true class and sophistication in San Francisco. Kristin family is from Louisiana and Andre’s family is from France so we had our style inspiration from the very beginning. Since the wedding was taking place in March we looked to the fresh greenery of early Spring and the black and white of French awnings to build our palette. The bridesmaids dresses from Kate Spade and tuxes for the men made for a sharply dressed bridal party and black and white trailing ribbons on their personal flowers completed the look.

Guests were greeted at cocktail hour by a French cheese display and found escort cards for their tables from ceramic numbered tags. A Southern inspired menu included mustard glazed chicken and fried green tomatoes. Wire French fineals flanking croquembouche was a stunner for dessert.

Sometimes when planning a wedding unexpected challenges come up that are outside your control. A week before invitations went to print, the church where the ceremony was scheduled to be held closed down for the year due to mold! With little time left we had to find a backup church in the city available for her date that would meet a variety of requirements for the wedding. In the end I think we found an option that was more beautiful and even perfect than the original church (these things sometimes happen for a reason!) but what was even more incredible was how amazing Kristin was through the entire experience. She accepted there was nothing she could do and moved forward with grace and aplomb; a true model for every Bride!
It turned out to be a beautiful evening in what can often be an unpredictable month for weather, and I can’t think of a more deserving bride and groom.
