The special events gem of Oakland’s uptown entertainment district, the historic Fox Theatre was reopened as a premier live music venue in January 2009 after an extensive, multi-million dollar renovation with its luxurious appointments and beautiful designs.
Available for day and evening catered events, the Fox is a stunning throwback to the heyday of elaborate 1920s movie palaces. Influenced by Indian, Moorish, Medieval and Baghdadian architecture, the building is celebrated for its elaborate design and decorative detailing.

The Fox has a reception capacity of up to 1,700 guests, with banquet capacity of up to 500 and theater capacity of up to 1,800. For smaller receptions, consider “The Den,” a chic, two-story cocktail lounge for up to 200 guests.
Conveniently located near BART, the Fox Theater is only a 12-minute train ride from San Francisco or a 9-minute ride from Berkeley, and also has plenty of parking nearby.
