We wanted to share a few photos from our recent Alice In Wonderland themed event for VMware at the historic Old Mint for 500 guests, which was fully designed in-house by Global Gourmet. Guests entered the Old Mint through a magical rabbit hole to enjoy character inspired menus and Wonderland themed rooms. The story was complete with the service of All the King’s Men.

We featured a fusion taco station with Korean Beef and Kimchee tacos and Anchor Steam Beer Braised Tacos, our beef short rib sundae, and an Oyster raw bar with sorbet frozen in dry ice bowls. We also had special single malt scotch tasting stations and served liquid nitrogen cocktails.

We followed this up a few days later with the VMworld 2014 Conference Bash for 8,500, which was held at Yerba Buena Gardens. We based much of our food service for this event on high-end festival-style concession service, and our food included braised pork shoulder with celery seed slaw, an Asian-inspired chicken salad, gourmet chicken and tofu ramen cups, and classic beef nachos. We also featured five local breweries in our “beer experience” area and had reps from the breweries on site discussing their products and process with guests.
